Lindsay De Vylder and Robbe Ghys enter the second night of the Zesdaagse Vlaanderen-Ghent as leaders. The defending champions have 128 points. Four duos have already pocketed a bonus lap.

The first points race of the night went to Dutchman Jan-Willem van Schip, who narrowly beat De Vylder. Noah Vandenbranden settled the second points race of the evening.

Then it was time for the first team elimination of the Six Days of Flanders-Ghent. It was a very tight race, but the flowers went to Jules Hesters. In the track lap time trial, Vandenbranden again showed off his fast legs. Launched by Gianluca Pollefliet, he set the fastest time of the night, just like yesterday: 8.484.

Seven couples started the first Madison of the evening on the same lap, with De Vylder and Ghys in pole position. After a scintillating spectacle and a thrilling finale, Fabio Van Den Bossche and Benjamin Thomas pulled off the win, but they did not manage to oust De Vylder and Ghys from the lead.

After a much-appreciated interlude by entertainer Sam Gooris, the Derny bikes started to roar. Ghys and Van den Bossche pocketed the victory, in between Frenchman Clément Petit grabbed the individual elimination.

100-Point Mark

Led by master of ceremonies Hesters, the scratch got underway. However, he did not manage to put the cherry on the cake of his party. For the third time this evening, Vandenbranden got to lift his arms in the air.

In the 500m time trial, duo De Vylder/Ghys were the only ones to get under 27 seconds. Their time of 26.999 was good for 20 extra points. The final Madison was right up Yoeri Havik and Vincent Hoppezak’s alley.

Four duos rounded the 100-point mark after two days and have a first bonus lap in their pocket: De Vylder/Ghys, Havik/Hoppezak, Hesters/Gate and Thomas/Van den Bossche. De Vylder and Ghys remain in the lead with 128 points.
