Thousands of cyclists pedal the streets of Dubai

The Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge moved for this year’s edition to a new start and finish area at the Expo City Dubai, attracting an impressive number of participants as over 2,700 cyclists registered for the various challenges.

The overall win was for Maksim Orekhov in a time just over 2 hours for an average speed of 46.93 km/h covering the 94km race. He won in a big bunch sprint of over 100 riders beating Yacine Hamza from Algeria and Francesco Lamon from Italy.

First female in the same bunch sprint was Olivija Baleisyte beating her Lithuanian compatriot Akvile Gedraityte and Australian Maddison Black.

This 14th edition of the Spinneys Dubai 92 Challenge marked a milestone as it was the biggest one so far scoring a new participants record.
